Description:
The painting is painted by Vignali in pendant with Abraham and the Angels, with which it shares the same stylistic features, iconographic theme, technique, and rich carved frame with the same decorative motifs.
The paintings reveal the stylistic traits of the works are attributable to the Florentine school of the 17th century.
Here an episode from Genesis is narrated in which Jacob meets Rachel at the well, and thanks to the rush of falling in love, the young man succeeds in freeing the well from a heavy stone in order to be able to quench the sheep's thirst.
