Description:
The painting is created by Vignali in a pendant with Jacob and Rachel at the Well, with which it shares the same stylistic features, iconographic theme, technique, and rich carved frame with the same decorative motifs.
The episode is taken from the Old Testament and we see Abraham serving at the table the three angels who will reveal to him the pregnancy of his wife Sarah, who, despite her advanced age, will soon give birth to Isaac.
The stylistic features of the works can be ascribed to the Florentine school of the seventeenth century.
