Description:
The fresco of unknown provenance, which must have been part of a larger decorative complex, was torn out and transferred to canvas.
It depicts Saint Sebastian, an image with a strong character of popular devotion widespread throughout the Italian Peninsula.
The classical description of the body, the graceful lines with childlike features of the saint, and the design and rendering of the drapery recall an ancestry to a school of the Umbrian-Tuscan area.
Despite the poor state of preservation of the pictorial film we assume that this is an artist defiled from the main cultural circuits, but still up-to-date and capable of dialoguing with the great models of the time.
